Owatonna Christian School, a ministry of Grace Baptist Church in Owatonna, is performing the play Crossroads at Columbine the weekend of May 7-8, 2010. The play contains a gospel message as it presents the life of Cassie Bernall. The student body of OCS and the cast of the play would like to invite you to attend the performances, and would like to extend a special invitation to the youth performance at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 8. Admission for this performance is free for Junior High and Senior High Students and Sponsors. The Youth Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, Jon Doughty, will be giving a gospel presentation following the performance.
The story begins two years before the Columbine massacre when Cassie was struggling with some of the same things in which Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were involved. The drama traces her familyʼs journey through her troublesome years and how they were able to rescue Cassie from her destructive path. The drama promotes a message that encourages parents to use tough love when raising their children.
Another special event that will be taking place that weekend is a school fundraiser spaghetti dinner. The dinner is Friday, May 7, from 5:00-6:30 with a performance of the play following.
Admission Costs:
” Adult – $5
” Senior Citizens – $4
” Students – $3
” Children under 5 – FREE
