St. Francis Extends Invitation to 2011 MBA Annual Meeting, June 24-25

The following is from Pastor Steve Brower of First Baptist, St. Francis, host of the 2011 MBA Annual Meeting.

Dear MBA Brothers & Sisters,

As a young pastor in the Minnesota Baptist Association I have been challenged multiple times by others as to the real purpose and profit of the association. Far from discouraging us toward the MBA, these challenges have caused First Baptist to reevaluate the profitability of the MBA and has driven me personally and our church corporately to recognize its value. As servants called to minister we all have Biblical commitments that our Lord has graciously placed upon us. The desire of the Annual Meeting Committee is to use this Annual meeting as a call to maintain those commitments and to do so in partnership form. The MBA as an organization provides an opportunity for us to partner together in achieving some of those purposes for the glory of our God. Together we are able to glorify Him more than we are capable of independently. Therefore we have focused the sessions upon three Biblical calls: 1) Biblical Education; 2) Church Planting; and 3) Scriptural Fellowship. We pray this meeting will be encouraging and uplifting to you as you fulfill these biblical calls and we are honored as a church to host the conference this year.

We look forward to seeing you here at First Baptist Church of St. Francis. Registration will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 24th and the conference will extend into the 25th. The $6.00 individual/$15 family registration fee will include lunch.
